Sunset Lasts an Hour Here
Sunset is a simple game about exploring a quiet seaside town full of little stories and secrets. It was built in Bitsy and uses 1-bit graphics and Bitsy's simple native coding.
Sunset is what's now called a "Cozy" game. There is no danger and no way to "lose" - the player's safety is unconditionally assured through setting; with the foundation of their Mazlow's Heirarchy secure and stable, they are invited to explore. Bitsy defaults to making a game of this sort - it has to be cajouled into behaving otherwise, and my design was to follow its natural tendencies, rather than fight them.
